Abstract
The study was conducted to find the pattern of weed occurrence as affected by the number of weeding in one-year grown Paeonia lactiflora Pallas(Paeonia lactiflora P.). Number of weed occurred at early growth stage by weeding times ranged from 33.3 to 42.7/㎡, but weed occurrence was gradually reduced at late stage. And dry weight was sharply increased in smaller number of weeding. In weed occurrence, annual weeds were dominated with reduced weeding number and broad-leaf weeds were more dominated than grass weeds in increased weeding number. Major dominant weed species in broad-leaf weed were Portulaca oleracea, Rorippa islandica and Eclipta prostrata, with increased weeding times, but grass weed with smaller weeding number were Echinochloa crus-galli and Digitaria sanguinalis. Simpson index was the smallest as weeding times increased, but it was ranged from 0.70 to 0.76 for reduced weeding times.
