Abstract

Regarding Duncan Watts' article on common sense and social science (Why everything that seems obvious isn't, October pp30–34), the problem with common sense is that we live in a very narrow linear-ish band of a very nonlinear world, and most people only exist within or observe a relatively small range of reality.
