IMPRINT - A perspective on placemaking and community engagement

Placemaking is mostly viewed in direct relationship to 'community,' but what roles do and should communities play in the making of places? Placemaking, according to the epicentre of placemaking gems Project for Public Spaces, is 'the art and science of developing public spaces that attract people, build community by bringing people together, and create local identity.' Though, it seems every organisation and entity has their own definition of what placemaking is all about.
