Abstract

Considering rain infiltration and selecting a typical simplified section of soil slope , a mathematics model of the seepage field was established. Based on the saturated-unsaturated seepage theory of porous media and mechanical response analysis of slope under rainfall condition , the change of seepage field at different periods has been simulated, the law of the pore pressure and water content distribution change with time and space in soil layer has been discussed. Numerical simulation shows that pore water pressure can be easily increased with increase of seepage flow at the foot of slope . As the time of rainfall goes by, the pore water pressure in each slope soil layer keeps the rising trend. The increasing of horizontal distance, the curves of pore water pressure changes in descending trend. The storage capacity of each soil layer was gradually reached with the rainfall time increase.
