Abstract
Retention for homologous solutes in reversed phase high performance liquid chromatography is studied using C 1 , C 4 , C 8 and C 18 alkyl chain bonded phases. For three homologous series the capacity ratios measured at different temperatures are analyzed in order to estimate the enthalpy and entropy effects in reversed phase HPLC
