The Degree of Awareness of Balqaa Applied University of the Concept of Political Culture and its Dimensions

This study aimed at investigating the degree of awareness of Balqaa Applied University students of the Concept of Political Culture and its Dimensions which includes Political Knowledge, Political Participation, and Political Values among the student. The study also examined the impact of following variables on the concept of political culture: Gender, place of living, type of faculty, and membership in political parties. To achieve the goal of this study, random sample of 355 students form humanities and science faculties has been taken and a survey that contain 55 questions has been distributed to the students of different faculties at University. The data of the questionnaire were analyzed by mathematical means and standard deviations. For the same purpose, the study also used a (t- test) as well as one- way Anova test. The findings of the study found the following: 1- The degree of awareness among the students were high in terms of political participation while it was less in terms of political culture, political knowledge, and the political values. 2- There are a significant statistical differences at the level of (0, 05=a) regarding political as a result of the variant of sex in favor of female student, as well as difference at the level of (0, 05=a) regarding political knowledge in favor of male student. 3- There are a significant statistical differences at the level of (0, 05=a) regarding the variants of place of living and membership of political parties. 4- No statistical differences at the level of (0, 05) regarding the type of faculties.
