Abstract
After empirically studying various software markets, it will now be analyzed whether existing approaches are sufficient to deal with their dynamics and heterogeneous properties. This section will focus on so-called standardization models aimed at describing and solving the decision problem concerning the selection of the right communication standards to support data exchange in information networks.
