Abstract

Anticipated increases in demand for natural gas and its derivatives has resulted in plans to increase capacity for production of Natural Gas products such as sulfur, heating gas, propane, butane and natural gasoline. These efforts not only include plans for new plant projects, but also debottlenecking existing plans and restarting mothballed plants. When the Natural Gas is first brought into the plant, water and carbon dioxide are removed from Feed Gas. The Feed Gas contains hydrogen sulfide and other organic sulfur compounds that must be removed prior deetherization. The sulfur that is removed is further processed and sold.
