Abstract
A series of field experiments on the microwave remote sensing of atmospheric water vapor was performed with a steerable ground-based radiometer at 1.35cm wavelength in recent years. Summerized in this paper are the measured and retrieved results about the clear air humidity profile, the total precipitable water and the layered water vapor content. The experiment was extended to the cloudy air by adding another radiometer of 8.5mm wavelength. Some preliminary results are also included. These keywords were added by machine and not by the authors. This process is experimental and the keywords may be updated as the learning algorithm improves.
