Abstract

State-owned wildlife management areas play an important role in enhancing 1 wildlife populations and providing opportunities for wildlife-related recreational activities.In the six New England States there are 271 wildlife management areas with a total area exceeding 268,000 acres.A variety of wildlife species benefit from habitat improvement activities on these areas.
