Abstract

WHILE the previous chapters have dealt with thepathophysiology and treatment of acne vulgaris, this chapter is devoted to the treatment of one of the more unfortunate and yet frequent consequences of the condition, namely scarring. Acne scars can cause significant physical and psychological disability, especially since they, like acne vulgaris, commonly occur during the teenage years.
