A new generation of info-smart learners presents challenges and opportunities for teacher librarians and teachers in schools, as they need to keep pace with new emerging technologies by playing a role in the school's intranet development. They should focus on supporting and developing information and information and communication technology (ICT) literacy across the curriculum, with an emphasis on information literacy development and instructional design.
