Abstract

Three working groups were established in late 1999 to examine trade skills shortages in the electrotechnology, engineering and automotive repairs and service trades. The National Centre for Vocational Education Research (NCVER) was represented on each of the industry-led working groups, and provided key statistical information and analysis of evidence of skill shortages in each of the trades under review.
