Abstract
In this chapter, the physical and management aspects of water, sewer, and stormwater systems are explained. This knowledge enables the engineer, manager, or operator to understand, plan, and budget for the systems. The chapter includes a discussion of unresolved issues and needs, because some issues are not clear and require further research and investigation by utilities and national organizations.
