Abstract
This paper will describe CPE virtualization solution for home and enterprise environments by unifying Network Function Virtualization (NFV), Software Defined Networking (SDN) and Cloud technologies in Internet providers' networks and data centers. The goal of this solution approach is to reduce operational and capital costs, increase network and service flexibility for providers and to broaden service offering and experience for the end-users. This is achieved by leveraging state of the art technologies that provide automation, flexibility and simplify operations. Possible applications, implementation and potentials will be studied throughout this paper.
