Abstract
So far, this book has been talking primarily about the sale of freehold residential properties. Nevertheless, nearly everything that has been said so far holds true for the sales of freehold shops, offices and other commercial properties. The purpose of this chapter is to explain some differences, and to highlight points peculiar to commercial conveyancing. This chapter is written mainly for students who are studying on a Legal Practice Course at an institution which is introducing elements of commercial conveyancing into its conveyancing course. The chapter will also be useful as an introduction to commercial conveyancing for beginners in the office.
