Die Digitalisierung jüdischer Periodika in NS-Deutschland - Chancen und Probleme

Im Rahmen des von der Deutschen Forschungsgemeinschaftgeförderten Projekts »Jüdische Periodika in NS-Deutschland« wurden von März 2004 bis März 2006 im Deutschen Exilarchiv der Deutschen Nationalbibliothek am Standort Frankfurt a. M. ausgewählte jüdische Periodika digitalisiert, die in der Zeit von ca. 1933-1943 in Deutschland (und teilweise in den von Deutschen besetzten Gebieten) erschienen sind. Digitalisiert wurden alle wichtigen in jener Zeit entstandenen Periodika, 25 Titel mit einem Gesamtumfang von ca. 30.000 Seiten. Neben dem Blättern in den Zeitschriften ist eine gezielte Suche nach Metadaten möglich, u.a. nach Verfassern und Titelstichwörtern. Eine OCR-Bearbeitung des gesamten Bestandes wird zusätzlich angeboten. From March 2004 to March 2006 selected Jewish periodicals were digitized by the Deutsches Exilarchiv (German Archive on Exile and Emigration 1933-1945) of the German National Library at its location Frankfurt am Main within the framework of the project »Jewish Periodicals in NS-Germany« funded by the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (German Research Foundation).This project covers periodicals published from around 1933 to 1943 either in Germany or in territories occupied by the German army. The 25 serials which have been digitized represent all the important periodicals of that time and amount to nearly 30,000 pages. More than hardly any other contemporary documents, the articles in these periodicals reflect the growing disfranchisementof and threat to German Jews. Apart from browsing the publications, it is also possible to retrieve metadata, such as by author and title keywords. Additionally an OCR version of the total holdings is available.
