Abstract
A study on marine nuclear propulsion shows that the direct cycle boiling water reactor is the most desirable type, but at the present time the pressurized water reactor is the most feasible due to the experience obtained from its use in marine vessels. Comparisons are presented for various types of reactors, and the experience gained from each type is discussed. A nuclear-powered petroleum tanker being developed is also discussed. (N.W.R.)
A significance statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
A contribution statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
Method details are not available in the OpenAlex metadata.
Findings are not separately available in the OpenAlex metadata.
Limitations are not available in the OpenAlex metadata.
Application details are not available in the OpenAlex metadata.
