Abstract
This chapter covers the identification of genes and allelic varients that are responsible for specific phenotypes, and range of genetic variation, variants and phenotypes. Also covered are GWAS and risk factors for type 2 diabetes, indications for shared causal variants in different diseases, limitations of GWAS, defining the key gene in a region linked to or associated with a specific phenotype, gene-environment interation (Herpes Simplex Virus and Alzheimer's Disease), HSV1 and mitochondrial sequences, genetic variation and drug response, large-scale multiethic studies on candidate genes, and the discover of disease genes though large-scales genomic sequencing.
A significance statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
A contribution statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
Method details are not available in the OpenAlex metadata.
Findings are not separately available in the OpenAlex metadata.
Limitations are not available in the OpenAlex metadata.
Application details are not available in the OpenAlex metadata.
