Abstract
The international railway industry has been set up an sustainable and safe railway system. In case of domestic condition, through revision of the railway safety law, it established a base of safety management for railway system. It has especially enforced domestic vehicle manufacturers to build up a quality management system so that they can get qualified to enter the international railway vehicle market through the manufacturer approval scheme. This paper shows the essential processes for managing railway vehicle development projects through an analysis of IRIS (International Railway Industry Standard) and AS 9100 (Aerospace Standard).
