Abstract
The Slovak Republic was created on 1 January 1993 after the consensual division of the former Czech and Slovak Federal Republic (CSFR). The map in Figure 1.1 shows that the Slovak Republic has borders with Ukraine to the East and Austria to the West, as well as neighbouring Central European states which are the focus of this book. These keywords were added by machine and not by the authors. This process is experimental and the keywords may be updated as the learning algorithm improves.
