Abstract

This article discusses items on the 2016-2017 U.S. federal legislative agenda related to rail transportation. Highlighted are the Surface Transportation Board (STB) Reauthorization Act of 2015, including its provision for Positive Train Control implementation, and the Fixing America's Surface Transportation (FAST) Act. The article also discusses Amtrak's inclusion in the FAST Act.
