Abstract
The first finding of a fossil loach of the genus Misgurnus from the Lower Miocene deposits of Western Siberia is described. The fossil form is extremely close to the modern M. mohoity from the Amur River basin. It is the actual proof of the hypothesis of latitudinal community of the Eurasian Neogene ichthyofauna.
