Five years' experience with the chemotherapy of metastatic choriocarcinoma and related trophoblastic tumors in women.

E A R L I E R reports have described our initial observatoins in the treatment of metastatic choriocarcinoma and related trophoblastic tumors with the folic acid antagonist, amethopterin (Methotrexate-MTX) .le3 We wish now to present our chemotherapeutic studies in 63 patients treated during the past 5 years, including those patients previously described. These patients initially received MTX. In addition, 13 were treated subsequently with several courses of vincaleukoblastine (VLB), an oncolytic alkaloid derived from the plant, P’inca ~oseu.~-~
