Abstract

As a high-technology in surveying and mapping field, 3D laser scanning has the advantages of high efficiency and high precision, however, it acquires data still relatived to the instrument coordinate system. In this paper, the aim of experiment is to get multi-station scanning data of one high-slope, simultaneously survey the space retangular coordinates of targets with none cooperation target total station. Through nonlinear least squares algorithm in MATLAB, the paper complete Big Euler Angle coordinate transformation from scanner coordinate system to space coordinate system. According to the difference between the two kinds of coordinates, it gets the point error approximately. It is learned that this method is applicable to coordinate transformation, accurately extracting the target center from the point cloud and accurately surveying target center with total station is the key to achieve the coordinate transformation accurately.
