Abstract
Regardless of their theory, most therapists attempt to increase the personal agency of their clients. We propose that personal agency be included more overtly in family therapy training. In this paper we discuss several ways educators can train students to support the personal agency of their clients and also stay in touch with their own personal agency. We provide several practical techniques to assist educators toward this end.
