Abstract

SUMMARY A preliminary experiment is referred on sexual odours discrimination by the Poeciliid fish Poecilia reticulata. The males are significantly attracted by the water in which conspecific females were kept. The females, on the contrary, have not shown any remarkable attraction for the water in which conspecific males have been kept.
