Abstract
In this paper, the change of diosgenin content in cultivated Dioscorea zingiberensis C.H. Wright and D. panthaica Prain et Burk from Guizhou province was studied. The results showed that the content of diosgenin attained 2.90% and 1.86% respectively. The change of diosgenin content in the phenophases is in keeping with the domestic reports.
