Abstract
Comments on behalf of the Federal Government indicate a willingness to harmonise directors' liability for corporate fault across Australia. The Coalition of Australian Governments has agreed that the Business Regulation and Competition Working Group should review directors' liability and intends to identify reform areas by October 2008. Until that reform happens, company officers still need to be aware of and take steps to avoid personal liability under a range of laws.
