Abstract

A new inorganic-organic hybrid solid, [Cd(phen)(H 2 O) 4 ](ClO 4 )Cl · H 2 O (phen = 1,10-Phenanthroline), has been synthesized under reflux conditions and characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffractions, ICP analysis, elemental analysis and electrical analysis. The compound crystallizes in the orthorhombic, space group a = 0.88361(10) Å, b = 1.8492(2) Å, c = 2.2157(2) nm, Z = 8, Dc = 1.899 g cm −3 . Furthermore, electrical studies for complex have also been reported in this article.
