Abstract
Transvaginal sonography (TVS) has become a part of many obstetrical and gynecological sonographic studies. Our purpose is to review first trimester gestational abnormalities, present TVS findings, and evaluate TVS as a supplement to or substitute for TAS. The potential contribution of TVS in furthering specificity, sensitivity, and accuracy of diagnosis will be considered
