Abstract

The biology of rice weevil showed an average growth index as 2.64. Adult longevity for male and female was 33.33 and 39.43 days, respectively. Among the management practices (botanicals and inert materials), diatomaceous earth (0.05%) exhibited an excellent control recording minimum percentage of grain damage as well as per cent grain weight loss followed by black pepper powder (10 g/kg).
