Abstract

The temperature dependences of the Hall coefficients of thulium and Lutetium were determined between room temperature and about 950/sup 0/K. In the case of thulium there is a contribution from the anomalous (paramagnetic) component; leutetium is nonmagnetic. These results and others published earlier on heavy rare-earth metals indicate that the Hall coefficients of these elements are negative, similar in value, and have analogous temperature dependences.
