Abstract
Neoplasms of the salivary glands represent 3-5% of all the neoplasms of the head and neck, being the pleomorphic adenoma the more usual and it represents 65% of the tumors of the parotid gland and 50% of the submandibular gland. The minor salivary glands are distributed in the entire oral cavity, but are more frequently in the lips and the palate, being less probably to become neoplasms. We present a case that shows the natural behavior of a pleomorphic adenoma located in the soft palate that compromise a minor salivary gland, in become of the diagnosis and surgical treatment.
