Abstract
An experiment was conducted during 2014–15 at Raipur, India to find out the effect of chemical fertilizers, organics manure and biofertilizers on growth, yield and quality of mrig bahar guava (Psidium guajava L.). The results revealed that the length of selected shoots (95.83 cm), number of fruits shoot:1 (12.80), fruit length (6.91 cm), fruit diameter (7.46 cm), TSS (12.57°B), total sugars (8.50%), ascorbic acid (237.30 mg 100 g−1), sugar: acid ratio (36.09) and fruit yield (48.23 kg tree−1) were significantly influenced and recorded maximum with the application of 75% recommended dose of fertilizers (RDF) + cowdung slurry @ 10 litre tree−1+Azospirillum (100 g tree−1) + PSB 100 g tree−1 (T6). The minimum acidity (0.29%) and seed weight (5.47 g) was also recorded with the treatment T6 and it was maximum with the control. Treatment having 75% RDF + 25% NPK tree−1 blended with cowdung slurry @ 10 litre tree−1 (T4) proved the next best treatment, However, lowest values for all the parameters were recorded under the control.
