Abstract
Glutethimide (Doriden) is one of the widely prescribed nonbarbiturate hypnotics in the United States. A recent case of a patient in a psychiatric hospital who abused the use of glutethimide gave evidence of sensory neuropathy which persisted after withdrawal of the drug.
