Abstract
Twenty new 3-arylmethylidenehydrazinocarbonyl-5-(p-substituted phenyl)-pyrazole derivatives were designed and synthesized in good to excellent yields using 4-substituted acetophenone and diethyl oxalate as the starting materials. All the new compounds were characterized by elemental analysis, IR and H-1 NMR spectra, while compounds 4b and 4h were further characterized by single crystal X-ray diffraction analysis. Besides, the results of primary biological activity experiments on the germination process of mung bean showed that these newly synthesized compounds had good activity.
