Abstract

A method for strengthening the posterior wall of the inguinal canal by means of suturing the displaced hernial sac duplicature to the inguinal ligament and musculus obliquus internus abdominis, and the anterior wall--duplicature of aponeurosis of the musculus obliquus externus abdominis is suggested. The method was used for the treatment of 102 patients with middle-size and large inguinal hernias.
