Abstract

Adenoid cystic carcinoma (ACC) is an uncommon malignant salivary gland tumor that presents insidiously and is generally advanced when diagnosed. Current effective treatment modalities include surgery and irradiation but recurrences are frequent. We report a case of ACC of the sublingual salivary gland in a 47-year-old male which posed a diagnostic challenge, clinically.
