Abstract
The tricyclic antidepressants amitriptyline and nortriptyline and the tetracyclic antidepressant maprotiline were administered to depressed patients, the steady-stateserum concentrations of these drugs and their demethylated metabolites were measured, and the relations between dosages and serum levels were investigated, along with the effects of age upon these realtions
