Articulation: a concept supporting alliances in education.

Educators have come to use the concept of articulation as a framework and supporting theory from which collaborative, cooperative, and coordinating activities can be rationally planned and implemented. This article describes the concept of articulation and a three-year research effort that culminated in two model sites that used articulation as a force for collaborative change. A plan for future articulation of allied health education is also suggested.
