The therapy consisted of stallrest, non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, and orthopaedic shoeing plus intrabursal injections of short-acting corticosteroids and hyaluronic acid. The therapy was repeated following recurrence of the lameness. According to the owner the horse is currently performing at its previous level.
