Abstract

The status of offshore oil and gas activities with statistics on lease sales, production, and reserves of California provide a historical perspective. Outer Continental Shelf (OCS) development and potential includes industry activities, present leasing schedule and anticipated projects. Effects on living resources and socioeconomic impacts are also described. A discussion of regional information resources and analysis of the studies concludes the report.
