[Assessment of the correlation between quality of life and oral health using global self-evaluation in a group of elderly patients].

Oral-health-related quality of life is expected to have multiple dimensions. The aim of this study was to investigate the correlation between the oral health and the quality of life in a group of 123 elderly people who attended our clinic. All of them responded to a questionnaire concerning the way they perceived the effect of oral health on different parameters related to the quality of life. The impact of oral health on life quality in our study was great, with three-quarters of the respondents perceiving that their oral health impacted on their life quality.
