Abstract
Variations in length and area of human Y heterochromatin and euchromatin were analysed by electron microscopy for chromosomes in which the heterochromatin was previously undercondensed with distamycin A. Quantitation of data showed that heterochromatin variation was greater than euchromatin variation in the long arm.
