Abstract

A new species of muricid is described and named as Hirtomurex guoi in this paper. This species is discovered from the deep sea of Bohol, the Philippines in 2015. The holotype is deposited in National Taiwan Museum, Taipei. This new species is globose with tiny scaly spines on axial ribs.
