General Notes on Law and Economics: Foundations, History and Schools

The application of concepts and tools of theory to science of law with aim to obtain a comprehensive vision of human behavior has become, in last years, in auxiliary discipline that soaks legal and sciences. In this paper we examine, in an simple manner, how this practice has being implemented from Fifties from last century, specially in United States, under ep?teto of economic analysis of whose generalized conception aims to establish that this one consists of the application of theory and econom?tricos methods to examine formation, structures, process and legal impact of law and institutions. The object of this work is to study those schools of analysis that determined a way to understand behavior of that additional variable of system: law. The aim of book, then, is not other than to provide to students and professionals with right, and so that no, of economy, a frame of reference in Economic Analysis of Law, of way so that access to class contents facilitates so much as consultation of some specific topics in subject. The first part of text develops a simple way to undertand reason why law is a subject of theory.
