Abstract

Background :Acute disseminated encephalomyelitis (ADEM) is a rare, monophasic, demyeli nating disease of the CNS which sometimes could be refractory to traditional treatment. Case Presentation:We present a case of fulminant ADEM which istreated with combination of corticosteroid, intravenous immunoglobulin and cyclosporine. Conclusion:Imm unosuppressive agentssuch ascyclosporinemay be effective especially in fulminant form of the disease.
