European Environmental Programs and Air Quality: Policy Convergence in Perspective

This article details the development of convergence of air quality policy in the European Union. Considering international harmonisation as the cause of convergence, an analysis is made showing the manner in which such policy has progressed; identifying the resulted type of convergence, its scope, as well as the direction taken up to present. Results demonstrate that policy convergence is a cyclical, constant and incremental process.
