[One-stage treatment of chronic osteomyelitis with pedicled osteocutaneous flap: a case report].

One-stage treatment for chronic osteomyelitis and soft tissue defect with pedicled fibular osteomuscle flap is reported. The treatment has been applied in 42 years old male with unstable angina pectoris and many years history of left tibia osteomyelitis. Primary wound closure, good bone healing after 8 months and remodeling of the tibia after 1 year has been achieved. Follow-up at 20 months did not reveal recurrence of osteomyelitis. Pedicled and free vascularized grafts use in treatment for chronic osteomyelitis has been discussed.
